About me​

👋 Hi, my name is Ivan. I am AWS Serverless and TypeScript enthusiast.

I speak Slovak (C2 - native), English (beer too) and JavaScript.

I like web development and everything related to it. As an AWS Solutions architect my main focus is on AWS cloud-native web development. I like to read about new technology and I love to share my knowledge with anyone who is able to listen to me. Mostly by publishing blog posts or various talks at meetups and conferences.

I am very opinionated about my tech stack, I like simplicity but I am open to discussion and I am open-minded. I believe that each technology has its purpose and my goal is to find the right fit for any use-case instead of using wrong tool for the job.

I am determined to help small to medium businesses to achieve success by helping them with understanding AWS cloud-native infrastructures.

After years of experience working with various teams in various roles from lead developer through solutions architect to technical lead (fractional CTO) I look at things from different perspective. I understand development but also project requirements and business value so I am able to bridge developer teams, project management and clients and help them to translate the requirements into functional application.

I understand that sometimes the world is not perfect - the business value is more than having 100% test coverage. When you won't ship you won't have customers. Your business might cease to exist.

I also value business outcomes over vanity metrics - shipping and keeping customers matters more than chasing 100% test coverage.
