About me​

👋 Hi, my name is Ivan. I am AWS Serverless and TypeScript enthusiast.

I speak Slovak (C2 - native), English (beer too) and JavaScript.

I like web development and everything related to it. As an AWS Solutions architect my main focus is on AWS cloud-native web development. I like to read about new technology and I love to share my knowledge with anyone who is able to listen to me. Mostly by publishing blog posts or various talks at meetups and conferences.

I am very opinionated about my tech stack, I like simplicity but I am open to discussion and I am open-minded. I believe that each technology has its purpose and my goal is to find the right fit for any use-case instead of using wrong tool for the job.

I am determined to help small to medium businesses to achieve success by helping them with understanding AWS cloud-native infrastructures.

After years of experience working with various teams in various roles from lead developer through solutions arcitect to technical lead (fractional CTO) I look at things from different perspective. I understand development but also project requirements and business value so I am able to bridge developer teams, project management and clients and help them to translate the requirements into functional application.

I understand that sometimes the world is not perfect - the business value is more than having 100% test coverage. When you won't ship you won't have customers. Your business might cease to exist.

I am available for consultancy about software development processes, performance and security best practices and modern way of shipping code. Also you can hire me to do software or cloud architecture reviews and technical due-diligence in order to get impartial second opinion.

You can also hire me to speak at your conference or meetup - I will speak about AWS, cloud-native, JavaScript/TypeScript, web development, high availability, scalability and various AWS services.
